Translate Menus, Signs and Conversations With AI

A few phrases and a phone can carry you a long way. AI can translate text from a photo, speak translations aloud and teach you useful phrases ahead of time.

Step by step

  1. Practice before you go. Ask for ten polite phrases with a simple pronunciation guide.
  2. Photograph a menu or sign. Many AI apps can read the picture and explain it.
  3. Use voice translation. Speak, and the phone says it in the other language.
  4. Ask about customs. Tipping, greetings and what to avoid.
  5. Keep a backup. Download offline translation in advance in case you lose signal.

Good to know. Translation can be imperfect for medical or legal topics. Get a human interpreter for important matters.
