What you will learn
You will learn to use tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini for real life: understanding a confusing letter, planning a trip, checking whether a message is a scam, and writing a note you are proud of. You do not need a new computer. A phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works.

Scams to watch for in Avondale
Scammers target people everywhere, including a mid-sized city like Avondale. These three are among the most common:
- Romance and friendship scams. A new online friend who soon asks for money, even for a small emergency, is a warning sign. Do a reverse image search of their photos and tell a trusted person.
- Fake charity requests. After storms and in the holidays, fake charities appear. Give through a charity you looked up yourself, not one that called or texted you.
- Fake bank fraud alerts. A caller or text says your account is under attack and you must move money. Real banks never ask you to do that. Hang up and call the number on the back of your card.
If something happens, report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and call the AARP Fraud Watch helpline at 877-908-3360 (free, open to everyone).
